The Investment Directorate is the part of Sandwell Homes that carries out planned improvements of homes, to make and keep them decent places to live in. We keep a close eye on the housing stock, building up an understanding of its condition and we produce a plan that steers the investment and maintenance programmes in the most effective way. We then go on to set the standards for our investment and select contract partners for the delivery of work to people's homes. We also manage those partnerships to ensure they meet agreed service, time, cost and quality standards. Customers are involved at each stage of the process to ensure that we are sensitive to their needs and that their interests are at the centre of everything we do.

The directorate is split into 3 teams led by the Investment Director, John Clayton:
