Consultation On Housing’s Tenant Participation Agreement
Sandwell MBC (Housing Strategy), Sandwell Homes and Sandwell Community Information and Participation Service (SCIPS) in partnership with tenants, have been developing a new Tenant Participation Agreement.
The original agreement known as the Tenant Participation Compact was launched in 2000 and reviewed in 2003/4 has been recently been revised.
The Tenant Participation Agreement sets out the standards tenants can expect and the opportunities available for tenant involvement in housing services.
Tenant members of the working group said:
'…this agreement has been developed by tenants for tenants to ensure that they have every opportunity to influence the way housing develop their policies and deliver their services...’
