Choice Based Lettings
Advertising & Placing Bids (Expressions of Interest)
Properties that are available for let are advertised on a weekly basis. Each advertisement will detail the preferred household size that is best suited to the property. This is referred to as the 'eligible criteria'. Other restrictions may also be included in the advertisement. The advertisement strategy will ensure that all sections of the community are captured. The eligible criteria is determined by the property criteria table OR by the criteria contained within a Local Lettings Plan, which can be obtained from the appropriate Housing Service Centre.
Where will homes be advertised?
Properties will be advertised in the Housing Service Centres (Property Newsletters) and on the Website. The advertising Cycle starts Wednesday morning and lasts through until midnight on the following Monday.
How do I express interest in a Property?
You can express interest in a maximum of 3 properties each weekly advertising cycle.
Do I have to bid for "3" properties "every" week?
No. Only express interest in the properties that are of real interest to you. Bids for properties that you are not eligible for will not be considered. If you REFUSE 3 offers of accommodation your membership will be cancelled and you will not be able to re-apply for a further 12 months.
