Gas safety
 Sandwell Homes’ Gas Services section is responsible for repairs and maintenance to council owned gas appliances fitted into council properties. The section also carries out annual gas safety inspections on council owned appliances, ensuring that they are operating safely and efficiently. A landlord’s Gas Safety Certificate is left with the occupant as a record that these safety tests have taken place. Gas appliances and central heating systems beyond economical repair or where spares are no longer available are also replaced by this section.
If you smell gas, think you have a gas leak, or are worried that fumes containing carbon monoxide are escaping from a gas appliance, please visit the National Grid website or call the free National Grid emergency line immediately on 0800 111 999. This is a 24-hour emergency line.
