Security And Concierge
The Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system operated by the Security and Concierge Officers monitors approximately 2,500 properties strategically placed throughout the borough. We provide a 24 hour, 7 day, 52 weeks a year service.
You can access the on duty officers by calling them on the intercom from your flat or via the concierge button on the main entrance front door panel.
Security and Concierge Officers are identifiable by the uniform they wear and the official Identification they carry.
Regular quality audits are undertaken by Facilities Management Staff to ensure the services delivered meet the required standards.
The Security & Concierge Service operates to a strict Code of Practice, which states standards and procedures for how the service is run. The Code gives clear guidance on the use of CCTV cameras and how CCTV videotapes are stored. This conforms to the Home Office Legislation on Data Protection, Freedom Of Information Act and Regulatory Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA).

The main aims for the use of the CCTV cameras are:
- Reduction and removal of the fear of crime
- Control of access to the block
- Identify breaches of tenancy conditions e.g. anti-social behaviour
- Assistance in the management of emergencies
- Fire safety
